In late 2014, Parkview Health president and CEO, Mike Packnett, introduced plans to invest in the Parkview Hospital Randallia campus. The $55 million investment introduced a four year plan that would increase and enhance services available at the hospital following the move of many tertiary services to Parkview Regional Medical Center in 2012. In little more than a year since the investment was announced, quite a bit has taken shape on the campus, some noticeable on the exterior and others near completion on the inside.

Throughout much of 2015, crews made structural improvements to the 62-year-old hospital along with many aesthetic, safety and quality updates on the exterior, giving it a new look. Within the walls of the Randallia campus, crews are nearly finished with the first two of what will be numerous milestones taking place inside Parkview Hospital Randallia over the next 24 months.

In mid-December 2015, the new Family Birthing Center (FBC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will open. The FBC will offer 10 labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum birthing suites enabling new mothers to experience care in one private room throughout their stay. The new, state-of-the-art ICU will provide 12 beds and will feature advanced technology and critical care design supported by skilled caregivers.

“We’ve made many significant investments into new services and improvements over the last two years as we also carefully evaluated the long-term plans for Parkview Hospital Randallia,” says Packnett. “The demand for care and services at this hospital has exceeded our expectations and many residents continue to choose this location as their preferred source for healthcare. We’re excited to continue to invest in this campus as we address the needs of our community.”

Further enhancements will allow for many new and improved inpatient and outpatient services including state-of-the-art surgery suites, a cardiac catheterization lab and updated and enhanced inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

Parkview Hospital Randallia invites the community to an open house on Saturday, December 12 from
