Visiting Nurse is celebrating Leslie A. Friedel being named chief executive officer.
Friedel, a northeast Indiana native, has extensive experience in health care and holds a master’s degree in social work from Indiana University. She comes to Visiting Nurse from Lutheran Life Villages, where she served in several capacities, most recently as vice president of research and service development. A licensed health facility administrator, Friedel is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a licensed social worker. Friedel was also honored as one of Fort Wayne’s “Forty Under 40” in 2018.
Visiting Nurse board chair Joseph Byers said, “We are pleased to have found a person with such extensive education and experience in strategic planning, partnership development and project management. Leslie has the knowledge and skills needed to successfully lead Visiting Nurse through an ever-changing healthcare environment. ”
