“Don’t you people have homes?” Judge Elihu Smails in Caddy Shack

I go to the golf course and see guys there who seem to ALWAYS be there. If you play golf, you’ve seen them, too. Apparently, they have it figured out – work a little and play golf a lot. That’s a great gig if you can get it. I don’t mind saying that I envy those guys.

“The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.” –Vidal Sassoon

Silly me, I thought that after 31 years in business I wouldn’t have to work so hard. For many years I kidded myself that I would grow the business to a point that it would take care of itself. Right!!! Owning a business is not for people who are looking for the easy way out. But, as I look back, growing my business has been tougher than I expected. I like to think it’s a problem with the business model, not the owner.

“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.” –Jim Rohn

Almost 32 years later I continue to work hard to grow my company. In a business world that is constantly changing, it is as challenging now as it was in the early years.

As a decision maker at your company or organization, if you want to help local businesses and the local economy, please buy from local small businesses if you can. As a group, we offer value, service, relationships and even pricing that you simply cannot get when you buy online or from a company in another state. We’ll work harder for you than some business in Wichita.
