Every child needs a good role model, which is why Mike’s Carwash is celebrating its support of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) for 10 years.
For more than 100 years, BBBS has been empowering children to succeed through mentorship programs. According to national research, Little Brothers and Sisters are 46 percent less likely to begin using illegal drugs, 27 percent less likely to begin using alcohol and 52 percent less likely to skip school.
On May 11, Mike’s held its annual fundraiser for BBBS. At each of its 24 locations across three states, 50 percent of the proceeds from every Ultimate and Works wash sold was donated to seven local chapters of BBBS. Mike’s loyal customers helped raise more than $70,000 for BBBS in a single day.
Founded by Joe and Ed Dahm in 1948, Mike’s Carwash was the first automated carwash in Indiana. Mike’s has since grown to a total of 24 locations in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky – with plans to continue to expand in current and new markets.
To provide the best value for our boss, the customer, by delivering a clean, quick, carwash every time, with a smile. The carwash sets expectations high, aiming to be the service industry leader by embracing innovation and providing opportunities for team members to reach their full potential. Founder, Joe Dahm, often reminds Mike’s team members that, “We’re really in the people business. We just happen to wash cars.”
