Political leaders throughout our country have succeeded in turning the coronavirus pandemic into a national political nightmare. It is unimaginable to me that both major parties continue to waste valuable time pointing fingers at each other in an attempt to make the other side look bad. I will not vote for anyone who appears to be disrupting the process instead of seeking solutions. Of course, that mindset could leave me with few choices.
If your small business received, or will be receiving, some of the Payroll Protection Program funds, congratulations. Congratulations to everyone who works at a business that has received the funds. It is those funds that will keep people employed, instead of having to file for unemployment along with millions of other U.S. workers who are not as fortunate. The SBA Disaster Loan program is also a life saver for small businesses and their employees. If you haven’t sought funds from that source, I strongly encourage you to do so.
You still have your job? Help if you can. Many, many people right here in northeast Indiana have lost their job, sometimes both husband and wife. I’m sure you know at least one person who has been impacted. There are food banks in most communities throughout the area. Give as much as you can.
And, remember to count your blessings and say a prayer for this virus to go away soon.
