From the systems it designs to the service it offers, everything (even the company’s name) is a detail carefully considered and intentionally executed. According to owner Dustin Oberlin, he wants that kind of purposeful organization to show through in every customer interaction.

Oberlin first took his business online, offering high-end electronics equipment via the Internet. He built a reputation for quality components and knowledge, and by 2008 he had begun designing custom systems for online and local clients alike. The need for a showroom, a place where he could meet people and showcase the components he had to offer, quickly followed.

Today, business is booming. Redfli has outgrown its original space and has expanded into an additional 700 square feet of showroom space and 700 square feet of warehouse space. The company’s year-over-year sales grew by 300 percent in 2012, and the first quarter of 2013 posted revenues that exceeded all of 2012.

Oh, and the name? Succinct and simple with “a little edge to it,” the name Redfli is just one more detail that Oberlin has thoughtfully considered. He just can’t leave his success to chance.
