Nobody can predict the future, but judging from the past, the future looks very bright for The Towne House Retirement Community.
“In addition to marking our 50th anniversary this year, we recently broke ground on an expansion project of 34 new apartments and new restaurant offerings on our campus,” says Lori Peare, director of sales at The Towne House.
The new one, two and three-bedroom apartments are being added to an existing apartment building on the campus off St. Joe Center Road and come with a number of attractive options.
“These apartments are going to be exceptionally nice and they’re probably the largest apartments in the area that will offer assisted living, with one style being almost 1,600 square feet,” says Peare. “All of the apartments will have granite countertops and sunrooms and handsome appliance and cabinet packages to choose from. They all have full kitchens, washers and dryers. Perhaps most importantly, we give you the freedom to make your apartment your home. You can decorate it any way you like and pick out your own paint colors as well as flooring. We want you to feel right at home.”
“We’re always looking ahead and researching and making changes to meet the needs of our current and future residents,” says Sarah Horacek, director of marketing at The Towne House. “We offer all levels of care here: independent living, assisted living, Medicare rehab, long-term care and memory care. We’re a nonprofit and we’ve been here since 1965.”
“And we’re the only senior living community in Fort Wayne that is accredited by CARF-CCAC,” says Peare. “What that means is that we go above and beyond what’s required in a healthcare community. I always tell people that it’s like having the Good Housekeeping seal. We’re very proud of that.”
The new apartments are scheduled to be complete in 2016 and both Peare and Horacek emphasize the importance of acting quickly to reserve one.
“This is a very unique and amazing opportunity,” says Peare. “We have a wonderful staff and our executive director, Dan Carr, has been here 30 years. It’s our passion to make our house your home.”
