Airlines and airports alike are innovating on the ground and in the air, with new technology emerging every day to put more power in the hands of business and leisure fliers, and enhance the overall flying experience. At Fort Wayne International Airport, we are embracing technology in our industry, as it makes getting from point A to point B much easier for our passengers! Here are a couple of ways to make your travels as easy as possible, sometimes with just the touch of a finger.  

Use Airline Apps for Flight Check-In and Updates

Each of the four airlines that fly in and out of FWA has its own mobile application. Using these apps can take away many of the headaches associated with traveling through the airport. Notices of delays and cancellations can be sent directly to your mobile device making changes in your itinerary easily accessible. Most airlines allow you to check-in for a flight up to 24 hours in advance, meaning you can be checked in and armed with your boarding pass before even driving to the airport! Going through the TSA checkpoint is also easy with mobile check-in; all you have to do is show your mobile boarding pass and the TSA agent will scan it from your phone. Download the Allegiant, American, Delta or United Airlines app to use mobile check-in at FWA.

Get Rewards at the Touch of a Finger Whenever You Travel

There are a number of airline and travel rewards programs that use technology to say thank you. At FWA our rewards program, Thanks Again, just launched its new mobile app making it easier than ever to receive and redeem your rewards points as you travel! Simply add your existing debit or credit card to your Thanks Again account by manually entering your information or scanning your card, and you’re ready to earn points. The Thanks Again mobile app tracks all of the points you receive from your spending in FWA and over 100 other airports, then lets you redeem them any way you choose. 

Stay Up-To-Date with FWA

At FWA we aim to deliver the best customer service possible. There are a number of ways in which this is happening all over our airport. Our website, fwairport.com, is easy to navigate and great for searching airline phone numbers, tracking your flight or learning about parking, all with your phone. We are also active on social media platforms with FWA accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Using social media allows us to keep on-the-go passengers informed of important airport information, as well as share photos and articles about FWA. Want to browse the web or get some work done while you’re at the airport? We offer free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal.
