You What?

Do you have a nickname? Friends and family call me Roho
Describe yourself in three words. Consistent, loyal, responsible
In what city did you grow up? I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.
What book has had the greatest impact on you? The Bible
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be an architect.
What famous person would you most like to meet? I would love to meet and spend time with Mark Cuban.
What is your favorite part of your job? Interacting with people. I get so much from working with all our OPS athletes and their families. I also enjoy being out in our community helping in a variety of ways from giving support to speaking engagements and planning events.
What do you love most about Fort Wayne? The people. Our city has such a strong emphasis on family where the relationships we build are the most important thing.
What was your first job? My first job was being a professional basketball player.
Who is your hero? My wife. She’s such a strong woman.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Minor day-to-day annoyances; spilling drinks, forgetting my phone at home, getting to the checkout register and realizing I left my wallet at home. I do things like this so much my kids give me a checklist before I leave the house!
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to cast as you? I would want to play myself because Denzel’s too old now and probably can’t shoot a jump shot.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party (living, dead, famous, real or fictional)? Oprah, Michael Jordan, MLK Jr., Walter White, Mark Cuban, Marcus Lemonis, Steve Jobs, Jay-Z, all the Ninja Turtles (from late 80s early 90s)
If you had a time machine, where and to what time period would you travel? If I had a time machine I would stay far away from it. I love where I am right now.
What (and when) was the first concert you attended? My first concert was to see Anita Baker with my mother, but I have to mention my second concert was Jay-Z at Madison Square Garden.
How often do you exercise? It’s part of the job, so I’ll say regularly.
What does your workout regimen consist of? Weight training, basketball and other cardio
What is the funniest thing you’ve ever heard? Inside jokes with family are hilarious, mostly clowning with one another. When we’re all together, it’s all laughs.
If you could listen to only one album for the rest of your life, what would it be? This is tough because I love music. I guess I’ll say any Robin Thicke album.
What profession would you never try? Surgeon
What’s in your refrigerator right now? Tons of food for kids. Breakfast is my favorite, so a lot of those options. Orange juice, lemonade, milk, grapes and leftover Shigs in Pit.

If you could give your 15 year-old self advice, what would it be? To live in the moment and to not take things so seriously.
What’s your biggest fear? I don’t live life in fear. I prepare myself to go out, do my best and live with the outcome. I am, however, afraid of sharks.
What is the best gift you have ever been given? My children

What is your favorite...

Vacation spot? Disney World
Holiday? Why? Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. It was my favorite as a child, and now having children of my own and seeing their joy makes it even better.
