Mural - This mural was done by local artist Shea Rutherford and McMahon’s had it done to highlight Fort Wayne and companies that bring so much to the community.
Pots - Kim loves to cook.
Books - She also loves to read.
Awards - McMahon’s is huge on giving back. In the past 10-plus years, McMahon has given more than $272,000 to various charitable organizations including the SPCA, Invisible Vets, Kate’s Kart, Victim’s Assistance and Shepherd’s House, among others.
Canterbury sweatshirt - Kim’s sons Danny and Paddy went to Canterbury schools from age two through graduation. Kim’s husband Bubba is also the baseball coach at Canterbury High School.
Alligator - The McMahons love traveling to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, which is known for its gators.
Baseball bat - Her sons played baseball for Canterbury and for their dad who is the coach. Baseball bats are also a source of amusement in the McMahon household as the boys have always had a penchant for swinging them indoors and driving Kim crazy – and they still do it today!
Smoothie King cup - Kim loves Smoothie King and has her own secret-menu smoothie there. Her smoothie has peanut butter, almonds and bananas. Next time you go, ask for Kim’s smoothie!
Champagne - When she had cancer 15 years ago, all wine tasted like vinegar to her after her treatment. Champagne still tasted good to her so that is now her drink of choice.
Camera - Kim is both the family and the company photographer.
Pennants - Bubba and Kim met at Valparaiso University when Bubba was assigned to write about the freshman tennis team. He saw Kim and that was all it took. They’ve been married 33 years. Their son Paddy, 29, attended Tulane University and their son Danny, 25, attended Swarthmore College.
Portrait - This is a portrait of Kim’s sons Danny and Paddy (that Business People photographer Steve Vorderman took!).
Brick - This brick came from the original McMahon’s store at Jefferson Boulevard and Fairfield Avenue.
Golf clubs - Kim tore her rotator cuff 5 years ago and had to give up tennis. She took up golf and loves that it allows her to spend time on the course with her husband.
Tire - McMahon’s Best-One Tire & Auto Care of course specializes in tires, automobile service and much more.
Lei - She has been attending Jimmy Buffet concerts consistently since high school.
Cubs sign - When the Cubs finally won the World Series in 2016, Kim happily adjusted the ‘next year’ sign to reflect the W.
Mimosa glass - This glass is monogrammed with Kim’s initials and she loves anything with a monogram. This was a gift from her son’s girlfriend.
Think Outside the Box sign - Thinking outside the box is not always Kim’s strength so she appreciates the people who do it and uses the sign as a reminder.
Swarthmore jersey - Her son Danny played baseball for Swarthmore.
200 sign - This sign she had made for her husband Bubba when he celebrated his 200th win as Canterbury’s baseball coach. She said he’s probably above 300 wins currently.
Framed newspaper clipping - Kim has been a tennis player since high school and she also played in college. This is a photo of her that ran in the newspaper during her high school tennis days.
