STAR Bank is celebrating the 50^th anniversary of Jim Marcuccilli, the company’s current Chairman and CEO.

Marcuccilli joined STAR in 1973 and gained experience in several departments over the course of his banking career. He served as President of STAR Financial Systems, Inc., formerly known as NIFSCO, the organization’s cooperative service bureau offering technology and data processing for nine institutions. He was named President and CEO in 1998 when the four bank charters became one under STAR Financial Bank, and was then named Chairman and CEO in 2017.

Marcuccilli has served as the United Way of Allen County Campaign Chairman and on several boards throughout the region. He currently serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Indiana State Chamber and on the board of directors for Steel Dynamics, Inc., the University of Notre Dame Science Advisory, Junior Achievement Foundation, IU Health Foundation, SDI Foundation and YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne. He was a founding member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership in 2006, served as Northeast Indiana American Heart Association Gala Chairman in 2017 and as Chairman of the Indiana Bankers Association in 2013.

He is a two-time Sagamore of the Wabash recipient and a member of the 2014 Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. He has also been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Indy 250 the past two years and was a recipient of the Greater Fort Wayne Swagger Award in 2022.
