Erin’s House for Grieving Children held its annual Common Bond Breakfast fundraising event at the Parkview Mirro Center on May 18. Over 450 supporters enjoyed a delicious breakfast while listening to keynote speaker Mina Starsiak Hawk — HGTV star, renovation expert, real estate agent, children’s book author and Indiana native — encourage them to “talk about the hard things.” The coveted Healing Heart Award was presented to Dr. Matt Runyan for his exceptional volunteerism and servant’s heart over the past seven years. Over $75,000 was generously raised, which enables Erin’s House to continue providing services at no cost to children, teens and their families who have experienced a death.
