Do you have a nickname? In high school it was C-money (I played basketball), but now it’s pretty much mom, mama, mommy and MOOOOOOMMMMM (from the other room).
Describe yourself in three words. Strong, independent and fun.
In what city did you grow up? I grew up on a farm my great grandpa built in Roanoke, Indiana.
What is your greatest accomplishment? My husband and our four children; Cooper, Brooklynn, Jase and Hunter.
What book has had the greatest impact on you? The Bible.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor. I actually studied neuroscience at Purdue and thought I would go to med school until I got to my senior year of college.
What famous person would you most like to meet? Michael Jordan. He is the GOAT.
What do you actually do at your job? I oversee our commercial construction division in Fort Wayne. This includes the sales and operations teams that are completing: metal stud framing, drywall hang/finish, painting, acoustical ceilings, and all types of flooring (LVT, LVP, carpet, hard tile, sheet vinyl etc.). I work closely with a team of people who are all best-in-class. I feel strongly that everyone on my team wakes up and does what they are best at, and because of that I have a job, and a job that I love.
What was your first job? I was a housekeeper at Holiday Inn Express. I was hired on the spot and they didn’t think I’d make it through my shift. I worked there the summer before going to college.
What is your biggest pet peeve? It’s a toss up between being a problem pointer instead of a problem solver, or being passive aggressive and not just saying what’s real.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to cast as you? Wonder Woman!
Who would you like to see perform in concert? George Strait. I hate that I haven’t seen him yet.
What does your workout regimen consist of? I love to run, I like lifting weights and right now I am active chasing my kiddos. My family is big into sports. We often take the kids to the field at Homestead, the weight room, or play catch or basketball.
What profession would you never try? Dentistry. Teeth creep me out.
If you could solve one major problem, what would it be? Child abuse. I would never let one more child in the world be treated poorly. They don’t get to pick their situation, and I think as adults and communities we need to do better for them.
If you could give your 15 year-old self advice, what would it be? It’s ok to take the time to get great at something.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given? Success is never final and failure is never fatal. It’s your courage through both that counts.
What’s your biggest fear? Losing a child.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a medal in? Wine drinking!
What fad do you wish would come back or stay gone forever? I could do without the “half-shirt” phase we are in right now.
If you had to teach someone one thing, what would you teach? The ladder of inference — it helps people to understand how their beliefs and values drive their behaviors.
When was the last time you cried and why? Our long time nanny and my 5th child just got married. I cried at her wedding like a baby. Seeing her so happy and genuinely in love made my heart burst.
When were you happiest? Happiness is a fleeting feeling and, in my opinion, it’s a choice. I think you can have a lot or have nothing, but feeling happy is what you make of it. I honestly can say I am happy most of the time. That said, being on a tropical, all-inclusive vacation wouldn’t hurt!
What is your favorite part of your job? I love coming to work for the people, my team, my peers, our customers and the community I get to work with. All of them make every day different and totally worth it.
What do you love most about Fort Wayne? Honestly, when I was growing up here I didn’t love it. I couldn’t wait to get away. I lived in Colorado from 2003 to 2020. I came back because I realized how lucky I had been to grow up in an area with so many incredible people, great schools, thriving businesses and a growing economy. Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and many of the local business leaders have done an incredible job growing Fort Wayne into a town people are proud to be from and never want to leave.
What is your dream job? I’m doing it! I hope to keep growing my career with this company and in the construction industry. I love the people and I absolutely love seeing the amazing things my team accomplishes.

When was the last time you tried something new? Any chance I get. I love to try new things.
What is something that never fails to make you laugh? My husband.
