Founded in 1939, Dulin, Ward & DeWald, Inc. (DWD CPAs & Advisors) has a long and proud history of delivering professional accounting services to a diverse client base throughout northeast Indiana and beyond. Over the past 85 years, there’s one thing that hasn’t changed: the CPA firm’s commitment to providing high-quality, personalized services to assist clients in achieving their goals. Today, with a dedicated team of eight partners and 69 employees, DWD provides services to over 6,800 clients. Businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals turn to DWD for accounting and assurance, tax planning and compliance, business consulting and technology services.

A New Era of Leadership
In July, Jeff Taner passed the reins as managing partner to Casey Scheurich. Scheurich, who has been with the firm since 1998 and a partner since 2010, steps into this role with a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the firm’s culture and operations. As leader of DWD’s accounting and assurance practice, Scheurich guides the team with a commitment to excellence, a collaborative culture and a client-first mentality.

“I am honored to take on this new role and build upon the foundation Jeff has established over the past 15 years,” says Scheurich. “DWD has a talented team and I’m eager to continue leading the firm in providing top-notch services to our clients, supporting their success.”

Scheurich recognizes the importance of continuing to cultivate a healthy work-life balance. Scheurich is also committed to our community and has held various board positions over the past few years. He’s worked with Literacy Alliance, Community Harvest Foodbank and Covenant United Methodist Church, just to name a few. He currently serves on the Community Harvest Food Bank finance committee. 

“I believe that being part of the community is essential for any business leader,” he explains. “It’s not just about providing services; it’s about understanding the challenges nonprofit organizations face and giving back to the community.”
