It is with great sadness that I write this column. After 38 years of publishing Business People magazine, we have produced our final issue. The publication has lost money each of the last three years and I can no longer support it financially. While efforts to sell the publishing business to a local business have not yet been successful, I have come to the realization that the time has come to stop publishing Business People. We are still hoping for a miracle, and keeping our fingers crossed that we can still put a deal together with the buyer.
The good news is that BPPROMOS, our promotional products/logo apparel business, will continue as usual. We have many wonderful customers who support BPPROMOS and we will work hard to continue serving them as we always have. BPPROMOS is growing and I am excited about its future. As the advertising sales vendor at Fort Wayne International Airport, we serve at the pleasure of FWA management. We hope to continue in that role for a long time.
Thank you to each and every business, organization and individual that has ever supported our publications. Most of northeast Indiana’s best companies have been our customer at one time or another. We will also continue to work with a few of Northeast Indiana’s best nonprofits to produce their annual publications.
