Bill & Nancy: The Bible

Bill: Mary Poppins in 1964 when I was 6
Nancy: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Bill: I wanted to be a teacher and a coach
Nancy: A dentist
What is your favorite part of your job?
Bill: Watching new employees learn, grow and become better at
their work. See them take pride in what they have learned and are able to accomplish.
Nancy: The people I get to interact with and the variety of each day
What do you actually do at your job?
Bill: I’m the conductor. I try to see where we need attention and step in to assist. I keep all the plates spinning. I work to keep everyone happy, customers and employees.
Nancy: I oversee the financial and marketing aspects of the company, and when I do pick up the phone to talk to a customer, I usually talk too long.
What do you love most about Fort Wayne?
Bill: The wonderful people and our great friends
Nancy: The size – big enough to offer lots to do but small enough that people generally take an interest in each other
What was your first job?
Bill: The Golf and Tennis shop on North Anthony in Fort Wayne owned by Barry Gemmer
Nancy: Selling donuts at Mister Donut on East State
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Bill: Helping to raise two wonderful daughters who have
servant hearts.
Nancy: Raising two faith-filled daughters with my husband of 35 years
Do you have a motto you live by? If so, what is it?
Bill: The Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do
unto you.
Nancy: Actually a Bible verse from Psalm 118:24 - This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!
What three items would you want with you if you were stranded on a desert island (other than food and water)?
Bill: My Kindle with a full library, music system with full library and a solar battery charger.
Who would you like to see perform in concert?
Bill & Nancy: Addison Agen!
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Bill: The Holy Land
Nancy: Germany
What profession would you never try?
Bill: Surgeon; I don’t think I could keep my hands steady
Nancy: Phlebotomist – Years ago I actually spent MORE time recovering at the Red Cross after donating blood than I did giving blood!
Where will you go on your next vacation?
Bill & Nancy: Aruba
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Bill: My wife Nancy. I would be lost without her.
Nancy: Daily devotional time
Holiday? Why?
Bill: Christmas, the greatest gift ever given!
Nancy: Easter, because of what it stands for and it means spring is right around the corner
