On May 21, the Mad Anthonys Foundation held its Red Coat Gala at The Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne with 300 guests in attendance. The annual event highlights a prestigious award for outstanding and philanthropic leaders presented in the form of a Red Coat. There have been over 100 recipients since 1958, including top-level government leaders, astronauts and various sports athletes. This year the Red Coat was presented to Rick and Vicki James, entrepreneurs and philanthropists, and Matt Painter, Purdue University men’s basketball coach.
